LOOMINATIONS - IN THE STUDIO ON THE LOOM
Rio Grande blanket on 60" Cranbrook loom
The blankets were woven either in one piece or in two single pieces, as they would originally have been woven, and then sewn together in the middle. These reproductions of classic pre-1860s Rio Grande blankets were handwoven with natural and hand dyed New Mexico Churro wools in collaboration with Taos architect, Chris Ferguson, Tres Estrellas Gallery, Taos, NM from 2010-2015.
